the straffing from left to right is very "awkward" looking.. if that makes sense, say for example im engaged in a firefight with another player, i adopt a stable firing postion and attempt to take down the enemy target, round fire back and forth but this guy is darting from left to right spraying everywhere no real accurate fire being put down. i continue to fire when the target is straffing into my sights whilst he's reloading and kill him...then i continue to strolll over to his rotting corpse and tea bag him for using such faggotary tactics.
what im trying to say is the whole experience was very "awkward" and i just felt some what embaressed for this other player :/ as far as i know video games try to simulate real life combat with immersion, atmosphere and tactics.. but taking down this child just felt very animated and not really enjoyable tbh...
im no stranger to fps's i know straffing has been a on going issue with dust since replication but until PvE is launched i really think you should address this more aggressively as its making gameplay "jerking", frustrating and quite frankly unrealistic..
so i request a "nerf" if it can be called that on straffing speeds to LEFT AND RIGHT to 0.5 m per second... maintaining current movement speeds forwards and backwards is fine but this strange gameplay where players are locked into some sort of ballet with one another really has to stop its kinda silly to be honest :/
i cant be the only one as i have openly heard other players beat there children and other horrible acts due to the frustration of straffing in this game so ... CCP think about the children :( do it for them.. SIlly. My futuristic cloned space man shouldn't be able to strafe? |

Doing my research now so I can formally articulate everything. Fun fact: Even arcade twitch FPS like CoD have an emphasis on strafing. Looking at some MLG clips now where a quick lateral movement allowed a player to survive a 2 on 1 encounter. As someone who competed in CAL-I for Counter-Strike 1.6 (bringing back the good ol' memories) as well as MLG for CoD: MW2 I will attest that strafing is absolutely PIVOTAL in any first person shooter game. |
